The grocery store, which is scheduled to shutter 25 stores was contractually obligated to pay laid off workers $300 for each year of service. The judge's order reduces that number to $156 for each year worked, northjersey.com reported.
In addition, workers with more seniority will not be permitted to bump more junior employees at stores that aren't slated to close, northjersey.com said.
