Tattoo Artist Killed In Hudson Valley
A 29-year-old tattoo artist and musician was shot dead earlier this week in New York's Hudson Valley, authorities said.
Sullivan County resident Michael A. Hankins, of Woodridge, was killed on Tuesday, Jan. 11 in Shawangunk in Ulster County, said the New York State Police.
Walter D. Post Jr, age 26, of Shawangunk, was arrested and charged with Hankins' murder, state police said.

Dutch Schultz, whose real name was Arthur Flegenheimer, was a well-known bootlegger and racketeer in the Hudson Valley and Catskills area, the Times Union reports.
He muttered odd phrases on his deathbed after the 1935 shooting in Newark, that many believed were coded references to the town of Phoenicia in the Catskills, NY, the outlet said.

Federal Judge Esther Salas has spoken out on last month's shooting that killed her son and injured her husband, in a tearful video released Monday morning (scroll down to watch).
Salas and her son, Daniel, 20, were chatting and cleaning up after a weekend of birthday celebrations for him at their North Brunswick home on Sunday, July 19.
