Members of Molinelli’s Special Victims Unit arrested 65-year-old Robert A. Patzelt of Woodsville, NH on sexual assault and child endangerment charges yesterday after interviewing the girl, the prosecutor said.
She told them that Patzelt “fondled her buttocks, showed her pictures of his genitalia which he had on his laptop computer and engaged her in conversation of a sexual nature,” Molinelli said.
The parents contacted Wyckoff police, who called the prosecutor’s office, he said.
A search warrant was executed at Patzelt’s New Hampshire home by detectives from Molinelli’s office, the Wyckoff Police Department, the Grafton County Sheriff’s Department and the Haverhill Police Department. The prosecutor didn’t say what, if anything, they found.
Patzelt, who is single, was being held in the Grafton County Correctional Facility pending an extradition hearing.
