Alexander Nieves, 23, faces a lengthier prison sentence if convicted of attempted murder and weapons offenses in the June 18 shooting of a 25-year-old city man at the corner of East 24th Street and 14th Avenue. Tamir Blackwood, 27, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center shortly after the shooting outside 675 East 25 St. near 14th Avenue shortly after 8 p.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M.
