Midland Avenue was temporarily closed from Semel Avenue to Outwater Lane after the mishap occurred around 3:30 p.m. near the Plauderville Station. Person Struck By Train In Montclair Suspends Service On Montclair-Boonton Line Service was suspended on NJ Transit's Montclair-Boonton line Monday evening after a person was struck by a train. The identified pedestrian was struck near the Clairmont Avenue crossing around 7 p.m., an NJ Transit spokesperson said. The train had left Hoboken at 6:33 p.m. and was bound to arrive in Lake Hopatcong at 8:14 p.m. The victim was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. None of the 400 passengers or employees on the train were injured, officials said. Service had resumed around 8 p.m. with delays of up to an hour reported.

East Orange Man Fatally Struck By NJ Transit Train ID'd An East Orange man was fatally struck by a New Jersey Transit train late Sunday night, NJ Transit officials said. Gregory Brantley, 31, was hit by a Morris & Essex line train just east or the Highland Avenue station in Orange around 11 p.m., according to a New Jersey Transit spokesperson. The New York Penn Station-bound train had left from Dover at 10:05 p.m., and was carrying 28 passengers and crew members. Service was suspended for about 45 minutes.

Frightening Incident: Ridgewood Woman, 33, Dragged By Train In Glen Rock A Ridgewood woman was seriously injured when she was dragged by a commuter train in Glen Rock, authorities said. The 33-year-old woman "appeared to have gotten her coat caught on the train and was dragged down the platform before falling" shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. She was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center with injuries that Ackermann weren't considered life-threatening. Police, firefighters and EMS workers responded. NJ Transit police were investigating.

Man Killed By Train In Millburn, Service Suspended On 2 Lines A man was killed when he was struck by a train near the Millburn station Friday morning, NJ Transit said.  The man, who was not identified, was hit by the 6610 on the Morris and Essex Line headed towards New York around 6:45 a.m. His identity was not immediately released. No one else was injured.  Service on the Morris and Essex and Gladstone lines remained suspended as of about 8:30 a.m. in both directions. Tickets were being cross-honored on NJ Transit buses and private carriers, the spokeswoman said.  Service resumed later Friday morning.

Man Struck By Commuter Train In Paterson Hospitalized A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a commuter train in Paterson Thursday night, NJ Transit said. The 1134 Main Bergen County Line train left Suffern at 10:30 p.m. bound for arrival in Hoboken at 10:59 p.m., NJT’s Kate Thompson said. It had 42 passengers aboard when it struck the man soon after on Van Houten Street between Straight Street and Memorial Drive, she said.
