Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Belleville: Authorities
A 78-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in Belleville on Friday, March 22, authorities said. At 8:53 a.m., Teresita Cenit was hit by a car while walking on the 100 block of Union Avenue, Thomas Fennelly, a spokesman for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. She was transported to University Hospital in Newark where she was pronounced dead soon after, Fennelly said. The driver remained on scene, Fennelly said. The crash remains under investigation.

Officials ID Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Train In New Providence
NJ Transit officials have identified the pedestrian fatally struck by a train this week. Naji Jacob, a 74-year-old New Providence resident, was struck and killed by a train near Murray Hill Station in New Providence early Wednesday morning, Dec. 27. At 5:05 a.m., a Gladstone Branch train en route to Hoboken, fatally struck Jacob, NJ Transit officials said. There were no injuries to the people on board the train, NJ Transit said.

Newark Woman Fatally Struck By Vehicle Driven By 70-Year-Old: Summit PD
A 66-year-old Newark woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in Summit on the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 20, police said. At 6:51 a.m. police responded to River Road, between Morris Avenue and Plain Street, and found the woman struck by a 2018 Toyota Tundra, driven by a 70-year-old Hopatcong man. The woman was pronounced dead after being transferred to Overlook Medical Center. The incident is under investigation by the Summit Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau. Man Fatally Struck By Vehicle Crossing Highway: Linden Police (

A 60-year-old Linden man was fatally struck by a vehicle on Monday, Dec. 18, police said. A 78-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman from Old Bridge were heading south on Route 1 when they fatally struck the man as he crossed the highway at 6:49 p.m., police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police declined to identify who was driving the vehicle, citing the ongoing investigation. Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Route 17 In Ramsey
A middle-aged pedestrian was struck and killed trying to cross Route 17 in Ramsey early Friday, responders said. The man was struck in the northbound lanes and hurled onto the other side of the highway near the Ramsey Outdoor store around daybreak Dec. 8, they said. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. There was no immediate word on the type of vehicle or vehicles that struck him or who was driving. Toms River Man, 45, Fatally Struck By 2 Cars Over The Weekend: Police
Police have identified the 45-year-old man fatally struck by two cars in Ocean County over the weekend. Paul Mount, of Toms River, was in the northbound lane of County Route 571 when he was struck by a black 2018 Ford Explorer and a black 2021 Toyota Highlander around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3 in Manchester Township, local police said. Delays were reported on NJ Transit's Raritan Valley Line Sunday morning, March 26 due to a pedestrian having been fatally struck. The RVL train 5515, which left Newark Penn Station just before 9:40 a.m., struck the pedestrian around 9:50 a.m. on Galloping Hill Road near the Roselle Park station, NJT officials said. A man was struck and killed by a a train in Somerset County, suspending service to NJ Transit's Morris & Essex line Saturday, Feb. 26, authorities said. The man was struck on the Gladstone Branch by train 732 around 1:45 p.m. in Basking Ridge, NJT spokesman Everett Merrill said. State Police: Girl, 15, Struck And Killed By Car On Route 80
A 15-year-old girl was struck and killed by a car on Route 80 early Tuesday morning, state police said. The girl ran into the road and was hit by an unknown vehicle eastbound near milepost 45.3 in Parsippany-Troy Hills just before 3:30 a.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene, Goez said. Her name was not released. The center and right lanes were closed for about three hours during the crash investigation.
