Firefighters Battle 3-Alarm Blaze In Middlesex County Two homes were heavily damaged by a three-alarm fire that started in a garage in Middlesex Borough, authorities said. On Friday, June 14, at 2:40 a.m., the Middlesex Borough Police Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 832 West Second Street.  Officers arrived on scene and confirmed that a garage was fully engulfed in flames. Prior to the fire spreading to 836 West Second Street, officers were able to safely evacuate the occupants of both residences, Middlesex police said. Heroes: Firefighters Rescue Two Kids, Adult Trapped In Perth Amboy House Blaze Two children and an adult trapped on an upper floor were rescued by Perth Amboy firefighters during a Friday night house blaze. Four people in all were hospitalized in the Market Street fire, all with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening, firefighters said. A total of 18 people were displaced, they said. Teens Charged In Middlesex County Arson Fire Authorities charged two teens with torching a Middlesex County commercial building Thursday night. Arrested Friday were Ryan Deahl and Eric Mejia-Vides, both 18. Both are charged with arson, burglary and conspiracy to commit both, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Middlesex Borough Police Chief Matthew Geist said in a joint release. Deahl also was charged with having a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, they said.
