Plainfield Homicide Unsolved Seven Years Later, Person Of Interest Sought: Authorities It has been seven years since Shamar Coleman was fatally gunned down in Plainfield and police are still attempting to solve his murder. On Dec. 29, 2016, Plainfield police responded to Seafood Rama and found Coleman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Plainfield Police Director James Abney said. Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
