A Pennsylvania college student from New Jersey was found dead on campus over the weekend, according to officials and recent news reports. Christian Samay (Class of 2024) died on Saturday, March 30 at Bucknell University, according to the school's president, John C. Bravman. "This is an unspeakable loss for the Bucknell community, and our hearts go out Christian’s family and friends," Bravman said. Elderly Man Killed In West Orange House Fire: Police
A senior citizen was killed in a West Orange house fire on Tuesday morning, Dec. 12, police said. West Orange police and fire responded to 30 Park Drive South at 10:30 a.m. and reported heavy smoke and fire in the structure, police said. The victim, whose name has not been released, was removed from the residence and taken to Cooperman-Barnabas Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead an hour later, police. The fire was not considered suspicious, police said.

A man was killed in a Union County fire Friday, Nov. 3. Flames broke out at a home on the 100 block of North Avenue in Garwood around 4:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, local police said. Multiple 911 callers said the first floor of the structure was fully engulfed. Garwood firefighters and others from surrounding jurisdictions responded, and neighbors said a victim may be inside, Garwood police said. Firefighters found a male victim on the first floor apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The incident remains under investigation.

Body Found Near Holland Tunnel
A dead woman was found about a mile from the Holland Tunnel on the evening of Wednesday, July 19, authorities said. At 6:52 p.m., Jersey City police saw the body at 18th Street and Jersey Avenue, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said. The woman was determined to be dead at the scene and the medical examiner's office responded, Wallace-Scalfione said. The death does not appear to be suspicious, Wallace-Scalfione said.
