Community Rallies To Save Newark Boys Chorus School For more than 50 years, the Newark Boys Chorus School has been an institution in the city. Now the community is trying to ensure it stays that way. A fundraiser has been launched to help save the Newark Boys Chorus School, which is facing financial difficulties. As of Friday, June 30, more than $21,000 has been raised. The campaign, which began last month, is close to hitting its goal, the school said. The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey said they are matching donations made during June.
