Man Who Tried Hiring Pennsylvania Trooper To Kill Ex-Girlfriend Captured At Casino, Police Say
A man who offered an undercover Pennsylvania state trooper ecstasy in exchange for killing his ex-girlfriend was taken into custody at a Bethlehem casino Wednesday, Allentown police said. Dominic L. Escalera, 37, is accused of offering the trooper 150 ecstasy pills and providing the gun to assault or kill his ex-girlfriend, who had received a protection order Feb. 8 after alleging physical and verbal abuse, WFMZ reports citing Allentown police. The agreement was made toward the end of January, when police say Escalera gave the undercover trooper his ex’s address and photo, the report says. …

Police: Hunterdon County Woman Left Girl, 4, In Casino Hotel Room Alone While She Gambled
A 4-year-old girl found wandering alone in the hotel lobby of a Pennsylvania casino went looking for the 26-year-old Hunterdon County woman who had left her alone so she could gamble, police said. Rebecca Yandoli was found gambling on the main floor of the Wind Creek Casino after the toddler went looking for her around 4 a.m. Saturday, police said. Yandoli, who records show has lived in Annandale and Stewartsville, told police she left the girl in the room at 1:15 a.m. before she left to gamble. Elizabeth Woman Left 3 Kids Alone In Car While She Visited Casino: Police
A woman from Elizabeth was arrested in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania over the weekend for allegedly leaving three children -- including an infant -- unattended in a car while she visited a casino. WFMZ-TV reports that Milady Borda, 38, was arraigned Sunday morning and charged with two felony counts of child endangerment and a misdemeanor count for the same offense. Surveillance video from Wind Creek Casino shows Borda taking the children -- aged 8, 3 and 11 months -- to her car shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday, authorities said.
