An elaborate drug fraud ring operating in more than half the counties in New Jersey stole doctors’ prescription pads as part of a scheme to stock up on opioid-boosted cough syrup, authorities charged. A 37-year-old school bus driver from Newark has been charged after plowing his bus into a West Caldwell home on Friday, Jan. 27, police said. Anthony R. Stuckey had just dropped students off at West Caldwell Tech High School, before he drove his bus into an unoccupied Passaic Avenue home just before 8:40 a.m., West Caldwell police said. A North Jersey strip mall home to a Stop & Shop has sold for $47 million, Jersey Digs reports. The owner of the Essex Mall on Bloomfield Avenue in West Caldwell was represented by CBRE Group, Inc., who also procured the buyer, Milbrook Properties, the outlet said. Details Released In Easter Sunday Plane Crash At Essex County Airport
A pilot and his two passengers escaped uninjured when the plane they were flying in ran off a runway and crashed at the Essex County Airport on Easter Sunday, authorities said. The 2020 Citation CJ3 Plus was found at the end of Runway 22 in a drainage brook around 2:40 p.m., Fairfield police said. As police and EMS were arriving, the pilot and two passengers were climbing out, police said. Beloved North Jersey father Franklin Long died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at the age of 34. Long attended Hackensack High School before graduating from Union County College in 2010, his social media pages say. A Flanders teen was taken into custody after attacking a teacher and injuring two other staff members at a West Caldwell school, authorities said.
