Teen Motorcyclist Killed, Passenger Injured In Route 46 Crash
A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed and his 19-year-old passenger injured in a crash on Route 46 in Totowa. The 2008 Yamaha R6 sports bike rammed the rear passenger side of a 2014 Acura MDX near the Union Boulevard exit off the eastbound highway around 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, authorities said. No students were aboard a school bus from Bergenfield that collided head-on with an SUV Friday morning in Paramus. A Paramus EMS ambulance crew took the driver of the Nissan Kicks subcompact to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening following the crash on East Midland Avenue at From Road shortly before 7:30 a.m. Oct. 27. Three people died and two others were in critical condition when a car ran a right light and collided with a pickup truck overnight in Ocean County, authorities said. A 2009 Honda Accord carrying four people ran the light while heading eastbound at Cedar Bridge Avenue at New Hampshire Avenue around 2:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. A Hackensack police officer was hospitalized Friday following a collision on his way to a call. Pedestrian Killed In Jersey Shore Crosswalk Was Guyanese Swimmer
A 34-year-old swimmer visiting from Guyana — or the "Land of Many Waters" — was struck and killed by a vehicle while in a crosswalk in Freehold Township, authorities said. Robert Taylor was struck by a southbound driver on Route 9 at Schibanoff Lane on Monday, Jan. 9 around 7 a.m., according to authorities and those who knew Taylor. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene. Taylor was a mentor with the Guyana Amateur Swimming Association. Tractor-Trailer Crash Temporarily Closes Route 17 Stretch
A noontime collision involving a tractor-trailer temporarily closed a stretch of Route 17 on Wednesday. One injury was reported, though it wasn't immediately clear how serious, following the Nov. 16 crash on the northbound highway in Rochelle Park.
