Boy Crossing Street Hospitalized In Teaneck Hit-Run
The driver of a car that hit a young teen Friday night in Teaneck took off, said police who were searching for the vehicle. The 14-year-old boy was crossing Fycke Lane and Teaneck Road when he was struck shortly before 6 p.m., police said. He told officers he was hit by a newer-model black car driven by a woman that had turned right from Fyckle Lane and continued north on Teaneck Road. A Harlem driver surrendered to police after leaving the scene of a Teaneck crash that sent a pedestrian to the hospital with severe injuries, authorities said Wednesday. Barrett Lewis, 55, came to police headquarters about a half-hour after the 11:13 p.m. crash Tuesday and said he was the driver whose SUV hit the 48-year-old victim on Teaneck Road near Bedford Avenue and then sped off, Police Chief Glenn O’Reilly said. Victim In Teaneck Storefront Crash Taken To Hospital Across The Street
One of three people in a car that crashed into a nail salon on Teaneck Road just after noon Thursday was taken across the street to Holy Name Medical Center, police said. Teaneck police, firefighters and Volunteer Ambulance Corps members responded to the 12:10 p.m. Teaneck Road crash. Although all three occupants reported injuries, two refused medical aid, Deputy Police Chief John A. Services Set For Teaneck Couple Who Died In House Fire
TEANECK, N.J. -- Services have been set for Roseanne and Gerald Ryan, who died when their house went up in flames on Jan. 28. Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Volk Leber Funeral Home on Teaneck Road. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The bodies of the 81-year-old couple were found in the rubble, after the blaze burned their house to the ground. The Teaneck PBA started a clothing drive for the couple's neighbors, a family of five that lost nearly everything after the fire spread to part of their house.
