Craig Herbert followed the victim into a restroom at the Hackensack Avenue and Route 4 shopping center and shoved her to the floor, where he tried sexually assaulting her on Friday, July 26, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. The woman was able to fight off Herbert before calling 9-1-1, Musella said. The mall had closed at approximately 1 p.m. to restore water to the facility.  The backhoe was digging to repair the broken water main when it fell in the hole, Hackensack Fire Captain Justin Derevyanik said.
