Missing NJ Boater Reunited With Family After Week Adrift A boater out of Jersey City was reunited with his family last week after he went missing sailing to Bermuda, the Coast Guard said. No one had heard from the mariner since Monday, Nov. 6, and the Coast Guard Atlantic Area command center began a search and rescue effort, the Coast Guard said.  Another ship, the Time Bandit, heard an alert, and on Wednesday, Nov. 15, found a vessel that matched the description of the missing boat, the Coast Guard said. A Coast Guard boat based in Cape May arrived on the scene and was able to rescue the missing mariner and he was in stable condition. …

Prominent Attorney, Former Hudson County Prosecutor Harold Ruvoldt Dies, 81 Harold Ruvoldt, Jr. a prominent attorney in North Jersey, died on Sunday, Sept. 17 at the age of 81, according to his obituary. Ho-Ho-Kus Dad 1 Of 5 Killed In Small Plane Crash Off Honduras Coast A dad from Ho-Ho-Kus was one of five people killed in a plane crash off the coast of Roatan island in Honduras. Bradley W. Post and three other Americans, along with the Canadian pilot, were in the Piper Cherokee Six that plummeted into the Atlantic shortly after takeoff while en route to the port of Trujillo on May 18. Police divers and firemen recovered four bodies within minutes of the crash.
