College Student From Morris County Killed In I-295 Crash (

Authorities have identified the 20-year-old driver killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in Mercer County. Samuel Beale, of the Kenvil section of Roxbury, was driving a Nissan SUV northbound near milepost 60.6 in Hamilton shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, April 14, when he veered off the highway to the left and struck a concrete bridge support and guardrail, New Jersey State Police said. Beale was pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said. Beale was a sophomore economics major at Rider University in Lawrenceville, according to his LinkedIn.com profile.

Body Of NJ Student, 24, Recovered From Delaware River In PA
Human remains recovered from the Delaware River in Pennsylvania last week have been identified as a New Jersey college student, officials say. The body found by a fisherman in Falls Township, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, March 21 was that of 24-year-old Zachary Lodato, said Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck in a release. Lodato had been officially missing since Jan. 27, she said. "He is confirmed to be the person witnessed jumping from the Trenton Makes Bridge on that date," reads the release. A Ewing man was arrested and charged with burglary after he broke into a Rider University dormitory and tried to look into a female room, authorities said. Officers responding to a report of a suspicious male at the campus around 12:35 Monday heard from two female students that the male in question had entered behind them and followed them into their residence hall. Once inside, the male allegedly stayed in the hallways and approached their room door before standing directly in front, bending over, and trying to look under the door and inside the room. Former TV news reporter Scott Babashak of Trenton died of a heart attack Friday, May 27, reports WFMZ, where he previously worked. He was 54 years old. The Hamilton native graduated from the Steinert High School in 1985, where he was president of his graduating class, his obit says. He went on to graduate from Rider University and subsequently landed a job at NBC in New York City. A missing college student from New Jersey may be heading to Maryland, police say. Rider University student Jordan Clark-Sherman, 26, was last seen in Trenton around 6 p.m. Wednesday, Lawrence Township Police said Friday. Clark-Sherman stands 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs about 200 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes, police said. Majia Horner wasn't a bad kid, her mom Jennifer Horner says: "She just made a bad choice." An accomplished violinist and music teacher sexually assaulted a 12-year-old student of his in 2016, authorities announced. Dezheng Ping, 57, of Lawrence, was arrested and charged on Sept. 23 in Middlesex County, Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Paramus wrestling star Alex Sebahie was killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in South Jersey before dawn New Year’s Day.
