Historic Bergen County Pizzeria Shutters
A popular Bergen County pizzeria is set to close after 25 years in business.
Brooklyn's Pizzeria in Edgewater announced the closure on its website.
The shop's flagship store opened in the early 1900s in Harlem, NY — its owner, Patsy Lancieri, among the first New Yorkers to use a coal-burning brick oven in the 1990s, the website reads.
Years later, Lancieri's nephew, Pat Grimaldi, opened his pizzeria in Brooklyn. Later came the Hackensack location in 1993, where owner John Grimaldi met his wife, Julie.

GiGi & Mario Pizzeria will open its doors Oct. 10 at The Promenade at City Place in Edgewater, BoozyBurbs reports.
Serving a wide variety of red and white specialty pies as well as appetizers, salads, burgers and more, GiGi & Mario’s offers modern twists on traditional Italian favorites.

A popular New York City pizzeria is expanding to Bergen County.
Song E Napule in Greenwich Village is coming to The Parker development in Downtown Rutherford, BoozyBurbs reports.
The NYC restaurant is run by Ciro Iovine, a self-described dreamer, and father of three.
A pizza chef since 13, Iovine met his wife, Austria, after three years in New York.
