Newly-released bodycam footage shows La'Quetta Small, the wife of Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Jr. and superintendent of the city's school system, caught parking in a handicapped spot at a Home Depot store without proper registration. Records show Small was issued a ticket for handicapped parking on May 31, 2024 in Absecon, even though officers at the scene appear to let her off with a warning in bodycam footage shared to Facebook. 'Selfish, Clownish': Mayor Slams Atlantic City Protest That Ended In 7 Arrests
Seven protestors including the event's organizer were arrested during a Black Lives Matter march through Atlantic City streets, which the city's mayor called "selfish and clownish" after futile attempts to postpone it. Mayor Marty Small Jr. met with organizer Steve Young earlier in the week to try to postpone the July Fourth march. Atlantic City casinos are among the latest victims of coronavirus. It's only the fifth time in the 42-year history of legalized gambling in Atlantic City that the casinos will be closed indefinitely due to a crisis.
