At 18 years old, Hagr Elweshahy was appointed to the Linden Zoning Board this week. The high school senior's new role makes her the youngest Zoning Board member in city history. Elweshahy was appointed to the Board by Linden Mayor Derek Armstead at the Tuesday night, Feb. 21 City Council meeting. The Linden High School football team is mourning the loss of one of its own. Xavier McClain died on Wednesday, Sept. 21 after suffering a traumatic brain injury during a game on Sept. 9 against Woodbridge High School, according to Linden Mayor Derek Armstead. Linden Teacher Charged With Using Bathroom Peephole To Watch Sex Act: Report
The head of the math department at Linden High School was arrested by State Police last month for allegedly using a peephole in a bathroom stall to spy on an adjacent stall at a Parkway rest stop, MyCentralJersey reported. Richard Sullivan, 55, was arrested April 17 at the Forked River rest area in Lacey and charged with invasion of privacy and endangering the welfare of a child.
