Fit Cops: Rockaway Dad, Fairview Police Chief Is His Own Toughest Critic
It's 5 a.m. at HackensackUMC Fitness and Wellness Center and the flat-brimmed hat pulled over Martin Kahn's head is dark as the sky outside. "BEAST," the hat says. Because for the next two hours, that is what the Rockaway dad and Fairview police chief will become. With his duffel bag slung over one shoulder and AirPods in his ears, Kahn makes his way from the treadmill to the weights at the Maywood gym off Route 17. He slides his bag off his shoulder and turns up the volume on his phone. He picks up a pair of 100-pound dumbbells and locks eyes with his toughest critic in the room: himsel…

Both times, he handed the stolen credit cards off to a second man, who used them at target. If you see or know either or both of the men in the photos, contact Parodi at (201) 845-8800 or…

Fit Cops: Paramus Deputy Chief Hooked On Racing For Remedies
PARAMUS, N.J. -- Standing at the starting line of his very first obstacle course in 2014, everything seems to be moving in slow motion for Paramus Deputy Chief Robert Guidetti. The starting horn blows. Water comes shooting out of hoses in every which direction. The dirt underneath Guidetti's shoes turns to mud and suddenly, he's sinking. There was only one way out: Run. And he did, for just over three miles -- with those who can for those who cannot. That Muck Run four years ago at the Turtleback Zoo in West Orange honored those fighting or who have succumbed to multiple sclerosis. Four …

NFL Athlete Shares Dance With Disabled Woman At Bergen County's Giants Gym
MAYWOOD, N.J. — A former New York Giant is receiving praise from around the world after a video of him dancing with a wheelchair-bound woman at a Maywood gym went viral. While taking a break from leading a dance class at HackensackUMC Fitness and Wellness Center, Rashad Jennings grabbed Amanda Trott, a lifelong dancer born with Spina Bifida. Jennings -- who was hosting a special event at Route 17 gym powered by the New York Giants that night -- gave Trott a spin before salsa dancing with her. The video, posted by Jennings on Instagram, has more than 100,000 views and hundreds of comments p…
