Township To Buy YMCA Slated For Closure After 15 Years In North Jersey Wayne Township's YMCA is closing after 15 years, and the township plans to purchase the facility. The Pike Drive Wayne YMCA, a branch of the Metropolitan YMCA, reached an agreement with local officials to sell the building, according to a press release issued earlier this month. The number of New Jersey residents who have applied for unemployment benefits has surged to more than 1.5 million since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The CARES Act gave workers an extra $600 per week, but expired at July’s end. President Trump’s executive order calling for a new $400 weekly benefit was signed last month. Gov.
