A man killed in a Paterson house fire Tuesday afternoon was identified Friday as longtime city resident Charles Bennett, 83. Responders found Bennett unresponsive in the basement, where the fire in the two-family home on 17th Avenue broke out. He was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. An employee at Woodbury Common Shopping Outlet in New York was killed after he was hit by a truck as he was attempting to guide it into a loading area. Habram Castillo, 40 of New York City, was fatally pinned by the vehicle delivering goods to the Tory Burch store on Tuesday, Oct. 15, News 12 reports. Forklift Operator Killed In Elmwood Park Industrial Mishap
A 59-year-old forklift operator was killed Thursday when it fell on top of him in an Elmwood Park factory, authorities said. Lin Yi Hui of Brooklyn was operating the forklift when he got too close to the edge of a ramp, Police Cheif Michael Foligno said. The forklift began to tip -- ejecting Hui -- before it fell on top of him, hitting his head, Foligno said. Hui was pronounced dead at the scene. A man's body was found hanging early Tuesday morning from an NJ Transit bridge near the Passaic train station. The body was found around 6:30 a.m. on the Passaic Avenue bridge about a hundred yards from the station, NJ Transit's Nathan Rudy said. Clifton Garden Apartment Fire Kills Resident, 69
A 69-year-old man who was hospitalized in critical condition after suffering cardiac arrest during a Wednesday morning garden apartment fire in Clifton had died, authorities said Thursday. David Bork was the only casualty of the two-alarm first-floor blaze at the Sytertown Apartments on Market Street, which broke out around 7:40 a.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M.
