The 25-year-old rookie quarterback for the NY Giants spent this past weekend the only way a guy his age from the area should. A Bergen County high school recently ranked the best America and an elite prep school have both switched to remote learning after individuals tested positive for Coronavirus. Cliffside Park Baseball Coach Ben Luderer, 30, Dies Of Coronavirus
A 30-year-old Cliffside Park baseball coach and special education teacher died from complications related to coronavirus. Ben Luderer, of River Vale, was starting catcher for Don Bosco Prep's team in 2008 -- which won the national championship with a 33-0 finish -- and later played for Marist College. Cliffside Park Superintendent Michael Romagnino announced Luderer's passing Monday. After two seasons at the helm, Mike Teel stepped down from his role as Don Bosco Prep's head football coach Friday. The Oakland native graduated from DBP in 2004 and went on to become a star quarterback at Rutgers. In 2015, he was hired by former coach Greg Toal as the Ironmen's new offensive coordinator for the Ironmen, before taking on his new role in February 2017 when Toal was dismissed from the team. A funeral was held Thursday, June 21 for Cyrus John Ashtyani of Montvale, who died on June 15 in a Woodcliff Lake motorcycle accident. He was 21 years old. Interment was at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
