Support is surging for a New Jersey family whose 3-month-old baby was killed by the family dog. Daymon Jair Balbuena was mauled by the dog at his home on Mereline Avenue in Avenel around 6:15 a.m. Saturday, March 9, according to a GoFundMe campaign, along with Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Woodbridge Police Department Director Robert Hubner. A dog sitter who was being mauled while she tried to protect a small child was rescued by Hackensack's emergency responders, authorities said. Screams for help brought Officers Ryan Conlon and Denisse Caero to the Hudson Street home shortly before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, said Capt. Five children and two adults were wounded when their two dogs encountered another on a walk and turned on them in Atlantic City, authorities said. Police have issued a warning to Morris County residents after a dog was attacked by a bear in a local backyard. Officers were called to a home on Scott Street in Butler the day after the Saturday, August 20 attack, police said. A friend of the dog’s owner had apparently been pet sitting when the animal was let outside, police said. Two Englewood family members were hospitalized for treatment after their bulldog bit them Thursday morning, authorities said. The attack on the 51-year-old wlman and 18-year-old man by the American Bulldog in the 400 block of Westview Avenue shortly after 8 a.m. “appeared to be unprovoked,” Detective Capt. Timothy Torell said. Both of their injuries were serious but not life-threatening, Torell said. “The Englewood Health Department was notified and will be conducting a follow-up investigation,” he said.

Dog Attack Sends 2 To Hospital In South Brunswick
Two people were hospitalized after being attacked by a family dog in South Brunswick on Tuesday, police said. A man in his 50s and woman in her 60s were bitten by the family dog, a pitbull, at a house on the 100 block of New Road, local police said. The victims were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, authorities said. Their conditions were not known as of Wednesday morning. A 3-year-old boy fell from a window of a home and was then attacked by dogs, killing him Wednesday in Elizabeth, authorities said. The boy was rushed to Trinitas Regional Medical Center with serious injuries after falling from a rear window on the 400 block of South 5th Street around 5:25 p.m., the Union County Prosecutor's Office said. Police: Bichon Frisé Breaks Loose, Killed By Pit Bull On Glen Rock Street
A pit bull killed a Bichon Frisé who’d broken loose while being walked on a Glen Rock street, authorities said. The plume-tailed toy dog slipped his harness while being walked by a young boy on Dean Street, Police Chief Dean Ackermann.
