Lawsuit Filed Over Disabled Student's Dismissal From Hillsborough Prom: Report
A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a student with Down syndrome who was ordered to leave the Hillsborough High School prom before it ended, mycentraljersey.com reported. Lily Doyle was among 11 students asked to leave the prom, which was held in May. Most of the other students are also special needs. An aide told the group that they would be leaving about an hour before the prom concluded even though a limo had been reserved and was scheduled to arrive around the time the prom was supposed to end. The Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School and district are facing a lawsuit from a set of parents claiming that their disabled daughter's school counselor bullied and harassed her, NJ.com reports.
