A 51-year-old man was hospitalized with critical injuries while another was arrested in a Fourth of July stabbing, authorities said. Brian Kozub, 39, of Chatham Township, was charged with second-degree aggravated assault and various weapons offenses after stabbing the man in the neck with a pocket knife at a residence on Buxton Road around 10:50 p.m. while celebrating July 4th, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Two thieves entered a Morris County home to find a set of keys and brazenly steal a car that was sitting in the driveway, authorities said. The suspects entered an unlocked 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe parked in a driveway at a home on Sandy Hill Road in Chatham Township around 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, August 14, local police said. A 52-year-old man was killed in a triple-car crash involving a box truck in Morris County early Monday, authorities confirmed. The man was behind the wheel of a Jeep Wrangler heading south on Shunpike Road in Chatham Township when he was struck by a Nissan Rouge heading west near the intersection of Lafayette Avenue around 11:30 a.m., Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. A suspect fled in an Audi after trying and failing to steal a car from a driveway in Morris County Wednesday evening, authorities said. The suspect attempted to steal the vehicle from a driveway on Robert Drive in Chatham Township around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, local police said. Hunterdon Central High School junior and varsity lacrosse goalie Alexea Karpinski died Nov. 21. She was 17. Born and raised in Raritan Township, Karpinski was known for her love of sports, particularly lacrosse. She played as goalie for the Hunterdon Central Red Devils as well as for the Triple Threat Elite Club Team, her obituary says. Karpinski had a goal of playing D1 lacrosse while pursuing an exercise science degree. She wanted to become a professional athletic trainer, her memorial says.
