A Jackson Township teen remembered as "a bright light" was killed in a dirt bike crash in Cape May County, according to a fundraising campaign. NJ Prosecutor's Office Detective Killed In Home Invasion: 'Truly Devastating'
A Cumberland County detective was shot and killed during a home invasion in Bridgeton, authorities said. Sgt. Monica Mosley, 51, died late at night on Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Bridgeton Police Department said in a news release. She was a member of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office. A water utility company based in Camden said it is pausing billing in the wake of a cyberattack on Thursday, Oct. 3. The National Weather Service has shifted its tornado watch across New Jersey and Pennsylvania as Hurricane Debby creeps in. In New Jersey, the tornado watch is in effect through 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 and covers Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties in North Jersey. An 8-year-old boy from Cape May County made an extraordinary find with a metal detector. It may link back to a meteor that fell to Earth on Nov. 13, 2021, according to Chris Bakley, an astro-photographer. "The meteor was so large that many eyewitnesses saw it take over the daytime sky. Young Pilot Killed In Cape May Plane Crash
A 22-year-old pilot was killed in a Cape May County plane crash early Saturday, July 16, authorities said. Thomas Gibson was the sole occupant of the single-engine Piper PA-12 that crashed into a field near Paramount Air Airport around 9:40 a.m., the FAA and Middle Township police said. The Ocean City resident was pronounced dead at the scene. According to his social media pages, Gibson graduated from Marywood University in Scranton, PA, and had been working for Gibson Electrical & General Contractors. The crash was under investigation.
