Swimmer Pulled From Jersey Shore Beach Dies
A swimmer whose body was pulled from a Jersey Shore beach Wednesday died, authorities said Thursday. Three Point Pleasant police officers responding to reports of a swimmer in distress pulled the victim from the water on Jenkinson's Beach at Arnold Avenue around 11:40 a.m., Police Chief Joseph A. Michigan said. Point Pleasant First Aid Squad, paramedics and lifeguards arrived as the officers performed CPR on the victim. Elite 'Night Stalker' Soldier From NJ Among 2 Killed In Black Hawk Helicopter Accident
A helicopter mechanic from New Jersey was one of two soldiers on an elite nighttime special operations unit killed in a California crash. Staff Sgt. Vincent Marketta, 33, of Brick, and Sgt. Tyler Shelton, 22, of San Bernardino, CA, were killed when their Black Hawk helicopter crashed in a training exercise off the coast of San Diego, according to the U.S. Army. New Jersey authorities this week revoked the license of the ninth massage therapist in the past year for “inappropriate and unwanted sexual contact” with a client who literally put her trust in his hands. The body of a former Bronx priest with a penchant for rough and kinky sex was found dead in his Ocean County home on Thursday, authorities said.
