Update: Dogs Die In New Milford House Fire Two dogs were killed in a New Milford house fire early Tuesday night, authorities said. The residents weren't home when the blaze broke out in the kitchen at the back of the Voorhis Avenue home and quickly spread shortly after 7 p.m., New Milford Police Chief Brian Clancy said. Borough firefighters were immediately joined by their colleagues from Oradell and River Edge, with New Milford Fire Chief Gerry Smithson operating as the scene commander, the chief said. 21 Cats, Two Dogs Found Neglected In Fair Lawn Woman's Home, Authorities Say Animal control officers removed 21 cats and two dogs who authorities said were being neglected by a Fair Lawn woman. Julie Alaimo, 37, was charged with nearly two dozen counts of animal cruelty, Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Brian Metzler said. Police found the animals at Alaimo’s home on 30th Street near Raphael Street following a complaint last Tuesday, Nov. 8, Metzler said. Officers with Bergen County Animal Control were summoned and borough police Lt. James Krizek investigated, the sergeant said. Alaimo must answer the summonses in court.

Marquan Carter, 34, had the drugs and money stashed on throughout the house, in his 2016 Honda Pilot and on him when police raided his Morlot Avenue home last week, Sgt. The animal bit an 82-year-old man sitting on a lawn chair on his arm, finger and leg around 1:30 p.m., ABC7 reports.
