Teaneck Firefighter Falls Down Stairs Responding To Kitchen Fire

TEANECK, N.J. — A Teaneck firefighter was treated for injuries to his elbow after falling down the stairs responding to a kitchen fire Monday, authorities said.

Teaneck Fire Department's Lieutenant Martin Brown does not know the firefighter's current condition or if he has been cleared to work.

There were no other injuries reported in the Warwick Road fire, which came in at 12:10 p.m., Brown said.

The 2nd-alarm blaze extended to the ceiling and into the roof, he said. Teaneck, Hackensack, Englewood, Bogota, Bergenfield and Ridgefield Park departments responded, according to the lieutenant.
