Mom: Late Teaneck Teen 'Probably Laughing Or Doing The Dab'

TEANECK, N.J. — Candlelights illuminated the faces of dozens who gathered Sunday evening to honor the life of Teaneck's Charli Roberts.

The 18-year-old was a senior at Immaculate Conception High School in Lodi and died suddenly in her sleep last Thursday night.

"Charli is here with us and is probably laughing," said the teen's mom, Carlette Carson Roberts, "or doing the dab.”

The school's basketball team and its supporters wore "We Play For Charli" shirts at Friday's game against Montclair Kimberly Academy.
