Man Dies By Suicide Along Edgewater Riverfront, Police Say

A man died by suicide along a riverfront in Edgewater Wednesday morning, Oct. 2, police said.

Officers called to the Hudson Riverfront walkway near City Place found the unresponsive man just before 7 a.m., Edgewater Police Chief Donald Martin said in a release.

There, they found an Edgewater resident dead from an apparent suicide. The Bergen County Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation unit and the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office responded and assisted with processing the scene and investigation.

Investigation revealed no indications of foul play or criminality.
