New Area Code Coming To NY Metro Area: Here's When, Where
Residents and businesses in parts of New York City will soon need to adapt to a new area code.
The New York State Public Service Commission has announced the introduction of area code 465 to the existing regions served by 347, 718, 917, and 929.
This change affects the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and the Marble Hill section of Manhattan.

Igloo Products Corp. issued the recall for about 1,060,000 of its 90-quart Flip & Tow rolling coolers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, Feb. 13. A dangerous defect in the tow handle can pinch users' fingertips, posing risks of crushing injuries.

New Jersey State Police are asking for the public’s help after a 33-year-old man was fatally struck by multiple vehicles in a hit-and-run crash on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County Friday, Feb. 14.
The crash happened just before 6 p.m., when Jose Cerda-Estevez, of Plainfield, got out of a Honda Pilot that was traveling southbound in the express lanes near milepost 112.8, police said.
After exiting the moving SUV, Cerda-Estevez was struck by multiple unidentified vehicles, all of which failed to stop at the scene, according to authorities. He died as a result.
