The Honda CR-V slammed into the pole alongside the BP station just south of the Lincoln Avenue bridge at Wagaraw Road around 1 a.m. April 10. The passenger was extricated before members of the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps took him to the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. The 31-year-old Yonkers driver pulled his 2019 Cherokee to the side of the southbound highway just past the Sheridan Avenue exit shortly after midnight on Saturday, Dec. 3, "when he learned that his rear passenger was not feeling well in the back seat," Waldwick Police Lt. Major Mess: Multi-Vehicle Dump Truck Crash Jams Route 17 (Photos) UPDATE (PHOTOS): Four victims were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck that spilled gravel, debris and fluid all over snowy southbound Route 17. The toppled truck also took out a chunk of the highway divider during the crash on the southbound side just south of Ridgewood Avenue in Paramus around 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 9. At least three seriously-damaged smaller vehicles had to be towed while police and firefighters awaited heavy-duty wreckers to right the toppled truck.
