Firefighters Extricate Passenger In Multi-Vehicle Hawthorne Crash Hawthorne firefighters extricated a passenger following a three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon. The woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance with injuries that weren't considered serious after members of Hawthorne Rescue Co. 5 got her out of a KIA SUV that was rammed by a Jeep Grand Cherokee at the corner of Utter and Lincoln avenues. Jeep Slams Into Pickup Truck In Hawthorne No injuries were reported after a Jeep slammed into a pickup truck in Hawthorne. Saturday's crash at Utter and 9th avenues temporarily closed Utter between 8th and 10th avenues. A tow truck was needed to remove the Jeep. Hawthorne police responded. Prosecutor Investigating Snow Remover's Plunge Through Route 208 Bridge UPDATE: Authorities were investigating why a snow removal machine plunged through a pedestrian bridge, smashing into a van and seriously injuring its two occupants on Route 208 below. Both van occupants -- Patrick O'Dell, 64, and John DesLauriers, 22, both of Hawthorne -- remained at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson on Tuesday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M.
