Edwin Greene, 80, called officers from the parking garage under the Newton Town Centre complex stating that he had a gun and was suicidal around 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 25, police said. Newton Police responded to a Pine Street residence on Saturday, Jan. 11 around 10 a.m. after on a report of potential theft of a laptop computer and cigarettes, the department said in a Facebook post.
