Brian Laundrie's cause of death has been released, according to an announcement from the Laundrie family's lawyer. Laundrie -- the fiancé of fellow Long Island native Gabby Petito died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, WFLA, News Channel 8, an NBC affiliate in Tampa, Florida, reported citing family attorney Steven Bertolino. A lawyer for the family of Long Island native Brian Laundrie said it may take two to three weeks for a forensic anthropologist to analyze his remains to provide a time and cause of death. An autopsy on Brian Laundrie's remains turned up inconclusive results, authorities announced Friday. An autopsy of the fugitive's bones was completed Friday, and his remains will be sent to an anthropologist for further examination, according to multiple news reports.
