Driver Seriously Hurt As Dump Truck Overturns In Morris County:

A dump truck driver was seriously hurt after the vehicle overturned in Morris County Tuesday morning, authorities said. The Long Valley Fire Company responded to the crash on Schooley’s Mountain Road just before 7:10 a.m., the department said. The driver was extricated with help from the local first aid squad and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The Morris County Road Department worked to clear the road as other crews righted the truck. The county HazMaz team was also called to the scene to assist with a hydraulic leak, LVFC said. Two people were hospitalized following a head-on crash in Morris County, authorities said. The Long Valley First Aid Squad responded to the crash with EMS and Rescue 1 and 2 in Long Valley during the afternoon on Saturday, Sept. 10. The Long Valley Fire Company No. 1 tended to a fluid spill while EMS crew members treated two patients at the scene and transported them to nearby hospitals, the squad said. One person had to be extricated and two others were hospitalized following a serious crash in Morris County, authorities said. The Long Valley First Aid Squad responded to the crash during the afternoon on Tuesday, Sept. 6, the department said. Crew members stabilized the vehicle and used a cross ram technique to remove the b-pillar from the victim. The patient was then taken by Saint Clare’s Health to Morristown Medical Center while two other victims were taken to Hackettstown Medical Center for treatment, the department said. Longtime NJ Physician, Beloved Father Of 4 Dr. Christopher Muenzen Struck And Killed By Car, 66
Longtime New Jersey physician and beloved father of four Dr. Christopher Paul Muenzen was killed after being struck by a car in Montana at the age of 66, reports say. Muenzen was struck by a 36-year-old man attempting to back up a Chevy Silverado in downtown Helena around 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 21 and died as a result of of blunt force injuries, KTVQ reports citing Helena Police. Raised in Rahway, Muenzen went to St. Joseph High School in Metuchen and graduated from Cornell University, his obituary says. : Firefighter Injured In Morris County Barn Blaze
A firefighter was injured while battling a stubborn blaze that ravaged a barn in Morris County over the weekend. The fire broke out in Long Valley around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a Facebook post from Schooley’s Mountain Fire Co. The fire was knocked down within two-and-a-half hours with help from the Washington Township Fire Department and the Long Valley First Aid Squad, the post said. One firefighter was injured in the blaze but refused medical attention, authorities said. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.

Morris County Construction Worker Airlifted After 20-Foot Fall From Roof
A 28-year-old worker was airlifted with serious injuries Wednesday evening after falling approximately 20 feet from the roof of a Long Valley home onto a deck below. The man fell from the roof of the Waldon Road home around 5:30 p.m. and landed on a deck underneath, Washington Police Lt. Mark Niemynski told Daily Voice. Long Valley First Aid Squad arrived and stabilized the worker before he was flown via NorthStar to Morristown Medical Center, authorities said. Additional details were not immediately available.

Police Officer Rescues Family As Flames Engulf Long Valley Home
A Washington Township (Morris County) police officer who spotted a house fire helped the family out moments before it was fully engulfed in flames, authorities said. Officer Marut was on routine patrol on East Mill Road when he saw smoke coming from an area near Mountain View Drive around 8 :10 a.m. Monday, Lt. Mark Niemynkski said.
