Passaic County Toddler Dies After 3-Year Cancer Battle Liam Marquez, the honorary chief of the Totowa Fire Department, died on Thursday, Aug. 17, following a three-year battle with cancer. Liam was just a newborn when he was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancerous tumor that he battled for all three years of his short life. "Chief Liam truly exemplified courage, strength, and bravery as he battled cancer," the Totowa Fire Department said in  Facebook post. Burke, who was also the president of the borough's fire department, died Monday after battling coronavirus. He was 64 years old. "For those who didn't know Mike, he was the epitome of what Little Falls and a public servant represent," the Little Falls PBA said.  "People like Mike only come around once in a lifetime and we are sure sad that this lifetime will be without him."
