Paterson Officer Takes Deal In Off-Duty DWI Crash In Clifton, Could Have Record Wiped Clean
UPDATE: A Paterson police officer from Garfield who was drunk when he caused an off-duty chain-reaction crash that injured another motorist in Clifton took a deal from prosecutors rather than risk a trial, authorities announced. Noel Ramos, 27, pleaded guilty to DWI and will be entered into what’s known as a pre-trial intervention program, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said Friday. Surveillance Footage Shows Phillipsburg Liquor Store Shoplifter Putting Bottle In Pants
Police are on the lookout for a man captured on surveillance video stealing a bottle from a Phillipsburg liquor store. The suspect can be seen putting a bottle of liquor in his pants before fleeing on the 600 block of Memorial Parkway Sunday, authorities said. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to email Officer Michael Connaughton at mconnaughton@pburg.org or call Phillipsburg Police at 908-454-1121. ) Englewood Police Hunt Liquor Store Burglar
Authorities were trying to determine whether the burglary of an Englewood liquor store, captured on surveillance video, is related to the theft of cash from a lottery register by a man who covered himself in a huge sheet of plastic a little over a week earlier. Oprandy’s Wine & Liquor store was closed when the burglar took more than $1,000 from several cash registers and quickly fled around 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell said Monday.
