Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

50-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Northern Westchester Bicycling Accident A 50-year-old man was seriously injured early Saturday morning in a bicycling accident in Northern Westchester. Woman, 31, Airlifted To Westchester Medical Center After Serious Crash Two people suffered serious injuries, including a female motorist who was airlifted to the hospital, in a single-vehicle crash that occurred late Friday morning in Orange County. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Route 52 (South Plank Road) at around 11 a.m. just east of the Delaware Road intersection when it failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, said Lt. Pleasantville Pulls Away For First-Ever State Title In Boys Lacrosse It's was a moment the Pleasantville High School boys lacrosse program has been building for, and late Saturday morning it came. Ex-Treasurer Embezzled $36.7K From Area Town's PBA, Police Say The former treasurer at an area town's police benevolent association is facing a felony charge after embezzling nearly $37,000 from an area town's police benevolent association, state police announced Friday. An investigation found Lori A. Bailey, 47, embezzled $36,720 from the Village of Fishkill PBA while serving as treasurer and used the funds for her personal benefit, according to police. I-684 Delays After Crash In Northern Westchester This story has been updated. There are residual delays on a stretch of northbound I-684 late Friday afternoon following a crash that initially blocked two lanes just as the evening commute is getting started. The crash occurred at Route 22/138 in Goldens Bridge and took out the right lane at 3:45 p.m. after both the right and center lanes had been blocked before the center lane reopened. Anthony Bourdain Dead From Apparent Suicide At 61 Chef, author, and television personality Anthony Bourdain is dead of an apparent suicide. He was 61. Bourdain became most known as host of CNN’s “Parts Unknown” TV show. CNN reported early Friday morning that Bourdain was found dead in Strasbourg, France. A 1978 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, Bourdain returned to CIA last year where he was awarded an honorary doctorate. Update: New Tappan Zee Bridge Reopens After Crash Causes Hours-Long Closure This story has been updated. The southbound lanes of the new Tappan Zee Bridge have reopened after a pre-dawn crash involving an overturned flatbed truck causes its closure for nearly four hours. The pre-dawn crash occurred near Exit 11 near the span to the Westchester-bound bridge span. Traffic was at a standstill stretching back to Exit 14 (Spring Valley). Motorists were advised to take the Bear Mountain Bridge or the George Washington Bridge until the crash scene was cleared just before 9 a.m.
