New Rochelle Opera Pays Tribute to Marta Eggerth NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. --  New Rochelle Opera will launch its  2017 season with a tribute to famed singer/actress Marta Eggerth on Sunday, March 12, at the Fountainhead in New Rochelle. All proceeds from the event/fundraiser will support the company’s June production of Franz Lehár's "The Merry Widow." The event will celebrate the life and careers of Eggerth and her husband, Jan Kiepura.
