Paterson Martial Artist Produces National Titles

TOTOWA, N.J. — Devhonte Johnson of Paterson recently ranked first in his division at a national Las Vegas competition.

Totowa's Unity School of Jiu Jitsu took third place in the junior division of the IBJJF American Nationals, making it the first East Coast team to place in the tournament since the inception of the youth divisions.

Several of Johnson's Unity School students also won national championship titles the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation's tournament last weekend.

Johnson was crowned an international champion earlier this year at the Abu Dhabi International Pro Trial.
