The 6-foot-1-inch, 210-pound tailback from Irvington committed to Ohio State during halftime of the Buckeyes' national championship win over Oregon on Jan. 12 -- but he changed him mind after visiting Ann Arbor last month.

ESPN reported that Walker -- who led DePaul to a state championship three-peat and is considered the nation's best running back -- FaceTimed with Michigan University Head Coach Jim Harbaugh to give him the news.

He joins former Paramus Catholic coach Chris Partridge, who, as Michigan’s director of player personnel, is in charge of recruiting.

Walker rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns in DePaul's 40-17 victory over St. John Vianney (11-1) in the Non-Public Group 3 championship game at Rutgers’ High Point Solutions Stadium on Dec. 5.

He's scheduled to play in Armour All-America Game in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, FLA on Jan. 2.
