Wayne Middle School Receives $10,000 Grant From State Education Association

WAYNE, N.J. -- Schuyler-Colfax Middle School in Wayne was one of 46 New Jersey schools and school districts selected to receive Sustainable Jersey for Schools small grants funded by the New Jersey Education Association.

Schuyler-Colfax Middle School was awarded one of eleven $10,000 grants to establish a "Digging in the Dirt" school garden program.

Sustainable Jersey is a nonprofit organization that provides tools, training and financial incentives to support communities as they pursue sustainability programs. By supporting community efforts to reduce waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions and improve environmental equity, Sustainable Jersey is empowering communities to build a better world for future generations.
