Clifton School Board Disbands Subcommittee On Uniforms

CLIFTON, N. J. -- Clifton school board members narrowly agreed to disband a school uniform subcommittee, putting a temporary end to public debate about school uniforms, NorthJersey.com. reported.

Several board members said they'd be open to continuing talks about uniforms.

But during the Sept. 25 vote on dismantling the group, several board members indicated that they are still open to talking about the idea of uniforms for schoolchildren, NorthJersey.com said.

Parents opposed to school uniforms will likely keep an eye on whether this issue comes up again, according to NorthJersey.com.
