“As in the past, we would like to provide food and grocery store gift cards to go with the boxes,” said Sherry Davis, the PHCC’s food pantry coordinator.
“If you would like to help with the cards, please donate cash or checks payable to the Powerhouse Christian Church with ‘Food Pantry’ on the memo line,” Davis said.
The deadline is next Sunday — as in: a week from today.
And although regular collection hours are between 10 a.m. and noon, arrangements for delivery at another time can be arranged by calling Davis at (201) 704-2676.
Davis said the organization needs:
• Four 15¼ oz. cans corn (any brand)

• One 16.3 oz. jar Peanut butter (Jiffy)
• Two 15½ oz. cans small red or pink beans (Goya)
• One 14 oz. box cereal (any brand)
• One box Tea (any brand)
• Four 3 oz. boxes Jello strawberry
• One 10½ oz. can beef or mushroom gravy (any brand)
• One 48 oz. (large) juice (pineapple/white grape) (any brand)
• Two 24.6 oz. box Parmalot (shelf safe) Milk (any brand)
