Daniel R. Wallace, 29, was arrested Dec. 30 when he was found in his car with the drugs at Packanack Lake Shopping Center, Capt. Laurence Martin said Wednesday.

Officers found Wallace while doing safety and security checks at the center and saw him try to hide while in his car, Martin said.

Wallace didn't have his driver's license, looked nervous and sweated profusely, Martin said.

Office found the pot, the heroin bags and a hypodermic needle, glass crack pipe and digital scale, he said.

Wallace was charged with possession of heroin, marijuana over 50 grams, hypodermic needles, drug paraphernalia, and the intent to distribute, the captain said.

He was released on court summonses.
