Dale J. Freedman was released on a summons charging her with resisting arrest and obstruction, Capt. Laurence W. Martin said Monday.

Officers responding to a disorderly persons call on Bowfell Court found Freedman "sitting on top of the cable utility box refusing to allow the Optimum Cable vision repair personnel access to the unit," Martin said.

"Several cables were observed outside of the utility box and a knife was observed also on the ground," he said.

Several numbers came out and told police they'd lost connection to their phones, computers and TVs, the captain said.

The officers struggled to get Freeman off the box but eventually took her into custody, he said.
